Design Based Implementation Research

Research-Practice Collaboratory

The Research+Practice Collaboratory is a project focused on developing and testing new models for relating research and practice in STEM education. The lead organization is the Exploratorium of San Francisco, and partner organizations are EDC, the University of Colorado Boulder, and the University of Washington. Evaluation is being conducted by Inverness Research and SRI International.

The Collaboratory is developing resources to support existing improvement efforts in STEM education focused on equity and the focal areas of learning across settings, formative assessment, interactive technology, and implementing math and science practices in classrooms and out-of-school learning environments.

The Collaboratory receives funding from the National Science Foundation.
