The Science Literacy through Journalism or SciJourn project aims to teach science literacy by apprenticing young people to the practices of science journalism. It is based at the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Education, in collaboration with the Saint Louis Science Center and several school districts in the state of Missouri.
It is a good example of a project in which partners have adapted designs for both school and community settings.
SciJourn receives funding from the National Science Foundation.
