Collaborative Strategic Reading

Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) is an instructional approach designed to enhance reading comprehension in content classes. In CSR Colorado, researchers are working with Denver Public Schools to bring a professional development model for CSR to scale, and researchers are studying the structures and resources needed to build the district’s capacity to sustain the model beyond the duration of the research.

CSR Colorado is a good example of a DBIR project that is building teaching capacity at scale.

CSR Colorado receives funding from the U.S. Department of Education.
